  • A.R. Milne Industrial Electric

A.R. Milne Electric’s Safety Assessment Team has been using CIRSMA software for almost three years. Since its first release it has evolved from a risk assessment tool into a complete Safety Management System. Industrial Safety Integration has always invited us to contribute to further development and have committed to implementing changes to enhance the user experience.

CIRSMA intuitively guides our team and our clients though the risk assessment process taking into account risk estimation, hazard elimination, engineering controls, and behavioral based safety controls. From our perspective, as a service provider, the consideration of people’s behavior is of particular interest when performing Risk Assessments. CIRSMA software provides a connection between hazard identification and behavioral controls. Our people need to be able to work safely and still be able to complete their tasks. This feature has enhanced operator buy-in through participation and helped us to raise awareness of hazards associated with our work and has contributed to a very low incident rate.

We also use the CIRSMA management system as a design guide when integrating safeguarding for our clients. Once the risk assessment has been completed, our safety assessment team understands why particular designs have specific characteristics. We can then justify the safeguards and provide various recommendations for training and instruction to our clients.

If you need a safety management tool we recommend CIRSMA software. Our assessment team has found it to be the most comprehensive software available. It has certainly taken the guesswork out of our health and safety program. From hazard assessment, remedial actions, PPE, and tracking our training needs, this system has it all.

  • Engel Canada Inc.

Engel is a global manufacturer of injection moulding presses and automated production cells. Generally machine tools are supplied with a certain degree of inherent risk to human safety. Limiting the potential for harm by considering both engineered controls and administrative controls during the risk assessment process has help to minimize the potential for harm. CIRSMA has provided us with the ability to ensure a consistent approach risk assessment, risk reduction, and risk communication. Controlling and communicating risk is an essential part of our business. In addition, as a global manufacturer we have a corporate mandate to construct our machines in accordance with the standards and regulations applicable in the region where the machines are to be delivered. The versatility of the CIRSMA software makes this a simple task.

As the person responsible for product safety at this plant I have come to rely on the CIRSMA software heavily. It is well laid out making it simple and convenient to use. While at a customer’s facility or on our own production floor I can evaluate items quickly from my laptop for a later upload to the network. Our maintenance people are also finding benefits from this software. We are based in Ontario, Canada where Pre-Start Health and Safety Review are often required at machine start-up. The reports generated from CIRSMA satisfy the regulatory requirements both in our own facility as well as our customers.

The CIRSMA software has been of great benefit to this plant. Now that we have evaluated its benefits, plans are in the works to introduce CIRSMA throughout the corporation. Since your customer support has proven to be excellent in the past we are confident that this implementation will go smoothly.

Thank you for an excellent product and support.
